The public is once again invited to purchase Clarins “Rose Câlins” Lip Perfector in a show of support for children and mothers-to-be
The CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation and its long-time partners, Rythme, Jean Coutu and Clarins, are pleased to announce the launch of the 19th annual Mois des Câlins campaign. As of today, the public can embrace the cause of children and mothers-to-be by purchasing one of 36,000 tubes of Clarins “Rose Câlins” Lip Perfector, available exclusively through close to 350 participating Jean Coutu stores in Quebec. For every unit sold at the retail price of $20, Jean Coutu and Clarins will together donate $10 to the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation. Since the inception of the campaign in 2006, more than $6 million has been raised to support the excellence of the teams at Sainte-Justine and to ensure every child has access to the best possible care.
The funds raised this year will be used to empower Sainte-Justine to achieve its ambitions in patient care, teaching and research in order to have a real and lasting impact on the lives of children from across Quebec — children like two-year-old Nolan, an ambassador for this 19th edition.
At 22 weeks’ gestation, an ultrasound showed that Nolan’s heart was too big for his little body. A few weeks later, the official diagnosis came in: a rare heart defect known as Ebstein’s anomaly. Fortunately, Nolan made it through to delivery. Today, after three operations to repair his heart, he is doing better. His doctors and the team of healthcare professionals who are keeping a close eye on him are impressed with his progress. He continues to benefit from the comprehensive expertise in pediatric cardiology that Sainte-Justine is the only institution in Quebec to provide, thanks to the invaluable support of the people who donate generously to the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation.
A big debt of gratitude to our ambassadors
A returning group of celebrity ambassadors will be making sure that Sainte-Justine’s Mois des Câlins is on everyone’s lips once again this year, by taking to the airwaves of Rythme on behalf of the many families for whom Sainte-Justine plays a vital role. Marie-Eve Janvier, Isabelle Racicot and Nadia Bilodeau will be asking their listeners to step up and be there for Sainte-Justine.
Dessine-moi un câlin: On your mark, get set, draw!
Congratulations to Annabelle, a budding 13-year-old artist from Sainte-Perpétue whose submission was selected by the contest judges. Annabelle will see her artwork displayed on 36,000 boxes of Lip Perfector during this 19th annual campaign. She was also awarded a $1,000 gift card to a book and toy retailer.
From now until February 28, 2025, Quebec children aged 5 to 12 will have the opportunity to mail or email in their drawings to compete in this year’s Dessine-moi un câlin contest. Full details about the contest and the campaign can be found at calins.ca.
