Montreal, February 24, 2025 — The CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation is proud to be ending the 19th annual Mois des Câlins campaign on a high note, thanks to its enduring popularity across Quebec, combined with the unwavering commitment of campaign partners Rythme, Jean Coutu, and Clarins. The sale of 36 000 Clarins “Rose Câlins” Lip Perfectors, found exclusively at participating Jean Coutu branches across the province, raised $360,000 for the cause. To this amount, Jean Coutu generously contributed an additional $100,000.
On social media, the public was touched to read the stories of young patients and campaign ambassadors, including two-year-old Nolan, three-year-old Kyle and 6-year-old Jasmine. The proceeds from the Mois des Câlins fundraising efforts will help Sainte-Justine achieve its ambitions in mother and child health, so that every patient receives the very best care.
Embracing the cause for children like Nolan
The support of donors to the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation allows the teams at Sainte-Justine to take swift and innovative action and lead the way in patient care, education and research. These efforts have a major impact on the lives of children throughout Quebec. For young patients with serious heart conditions like Nolan’s, the cutting-edge expertise of the hospital’s professionals makes all the difference.
“Watching as your baby gets taken into the operating room isn’t something you ever get used to. But if it has to happen, Sainte-Justine is exactly where you want to be. Between checkups in cardiology, physiotherapy, nutrition and physiatry, Nolan’s journey at Sainte-Justine isn’t over just yet. But thanks to everyone in the Sainte-Justine community, who has taken such good care of him since day one, I know a big part of the battle is already won.
Thank you for opening your heart and saving the lives of so many children like him,” said Catherine, Nolan’s grateful mother.
A message of gratitude for our long-time allies
The Mois des Câlins would not be as successful as it is without the campaign ambassadors from Rythme, Marie-Ève Janvier, Isabelle Racicot, and Nadia Bilodeau, as well as their generous listeners who joined forces once again to show their support for this very worthy cause. The cosmeticians at Jean Coutu stores across Quebec are also to thank for everything they did to help sell the Clarins “Rose Câlins” Lip Perfectors. We are grateful to them for stepping up for this 19th annual campaign.
Heartfelt submissions to our drawing contest
The committee members in charge of judging the Dessine-moi un câlin drawing contest will certainly have their work cut out for them as they review submissions from five-to-twelve-year-olds from around the province. The winner will have their artwork displayed on the boxes of “Rose Câlins” Lip Perfectors for the 2026 edition of Sainte-Justine’s Mois des Câlins and receive a $1,000 gift card to a book and toy store (or the equivalent).
