The CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation is proud to be one of the beneficiaries of the 24h Tremblant winter sport challenge, held from December 8 to 10. This 24-hour relay is a major philanthropic event, bringing together over 5,000 participants in support of the well-being of children across Quebec.
This year, 24h Tremblant aims to contribute $25 million by 2027 to support the well-being of children in Quebec and Eastern Ontario, thanks in particular to a new collaboration with the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation and the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation. This partnership will make it possible to support pediatric care and research at two major children’s hospital centres in Quebec.
We’re sending a strong message that’s sure to resonate within the community. Children, teenagers, and families from all over Quebec will benefit from our new partnership with 24h Tremblant. Together, we’re going to transform the lives of children needing highly specialized paediatric care. Our two foundations are very proud to be among the beneficiaries of the 23rd edition of this event.
The funds raised this year will allow CHU Sainte-Justine to continue offering the best possible care to children across Quebec, no matter their health condition.
Growing beyond for kids like Mathis
Grateful for the excellent care he’s received at Sainte-Justine since birth, 11-year-old Mathis Péloquin will represent the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation at this year’s 24h Tremblant challenge. He will be one of 10 children matched with participating teams.
Mathis was born with severe scoliosis and a heart defect. He has already undergone 17 surgeries, and will need a dozen more before he reaches adulthood. Throughout this difficult journey, the Sainte-Justine care teams have been at his side, ensuring his physical and psychological well-being.
The children sponsored by 24h Tremblant represent hope and remind participants why every dollar raised matters.
