L’élan pour Sainte-Justine

L’élan pour Sainte-Justine is a committee that reports to the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation’s board of directors. As a pillar of our university hospital centre for 25 years, the committee works hard to ensure that children and families from all over Quebec receive the very best in pediatric care.

Since 1999, the Quebec business community has been a dedicated supporter of the mothers and children at Sainte-Justine. Formerly called the Cercle de Sainte-Justine, L’élan has mastered the art of organizing major philanthropic initiatives to benefit children’s health. Driven by a fresh vision marked by sheer enthusiasm, teamwork, openness, and a modern sensibility, L’élan pour Sainte-Justine has set itself an ambitious goal in 2024—to raise $16 million by 2028 through the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation’s Grow Beyond campaign.

The CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation is proud to have the unwavering support of its generous partners, who are helping to ensure a bright future for pediatric care.

Since 1999, L’élan pour Sainte-Justine has raised over $18 million for Sainte-Justine’s priority projects. This huge support has had major impacts:

  • On neonatal care and research, through the establishment of the Centre of Excellence in Neonatology. It helps ensure that premature babies get the best personalized care and enjoy the best possible conditions for their development, from birth through adulthood.
  • On research into brain disorders, through the setting up of new neuroscience labs. They foster the understanding and treatment of conditions such as autism, schizophrenia, intellectual disabilities, and language, mood and attention disorders.
  • On perinatal care, through the purchase of essential equipment for the perinatal unit. It improves our ability to prevent and treat perinatal disorders and care for babies and families.
  • On the hospital environment, through the upgrading of the Hôtellerie Chez Cachou, accommodations. With a view to humanizing health care, this support has enabled us to offer greater comfort, a more welcoming environment, and better, safer facilities to parents staying there while their children are hospitalized.

Thank you, L’élan pour Sainte-Justine, from the bottom of our heart!
