For the first time since the pandemic, members of the business community were invited to take part in an in-person Winter Triathlon, much to their delight. On February 17, 2023, hundreds participated in this Nordic sports challenge to support Sainte-Justine’s most promising advances in pediatric health.
The goal – Participate in a relay race in Montreal’s Parc Maisonneuve. Cover 1.25 km on snowshoes, 8.1 km (skate style) or 5.4 km (classic style) on cross-country skis, and 6 km on foot (running). A shorter, recreational stream was offered to non-competitive teams.
The cause – Support Sainte-Justine so it can remain a global leader in mother and child health care, for the benefit of families across Quebec.
The inspiration – Get moving and push your limits to support maternal and pediatric health.
The people – 87 teams for a total of 319 participants.
The fundraising target – Raise $550,000.
The final tally – Close to $700, 000 raised.
